Frado's Experiment
Frado had an idea
he told it to his friend
his friend agreed with Frado
his idea was the living end
he'd put a piece of outter space
inside the high school gym
and that's the last anyone would see
of themselves or him
he built a black hole for the science fair
but the black hole didn't work
and when he opened his eyes he was still there
feeling like a jerk
Simon Rooter Mobley
was the name of Frado's friend
of the scientific mindset
at the high school around the bend
if Simon was the technician
then Frado was the dreamer
they got a small truckload of plywood
and a giant vacuum cleaner
he built a black hole... |
evenings at the library
mornings in the attic
Frado soon developed
the face of a fanatic
while Simon Rooter Mobley
stood by and shook his head
there was something inside Frado
that wanted to be dead
he built a black hole...
in front of peers and judges
his speech was like a plea
black holes and what to do with them
it's up to you and me
he asked the frightened ones to leave
nobody did
he flicked the switch and felt the vacuum
on the backs of his eyelids
he built a black hole for the science fair
but the black hole didn't work
when he opened his eyes he was still there
